This show Christmas in July (2-31 July 2007) brings together highlights of exquisitely crafted Christmas decorations that have drawn eager visitors to The Johnston Collection during the Festive Season over the past five years.

The decorations are all inspired by objects within Fairhall the residence of the late William Robert Johnston, whose passion for the Georgian, Regency and Louis XV periods is reflected in the collection he left for the enjoyment of his fellow Australians.

The finest of embroidery, decoupage, calligraphy and thread work are just some of the skills that have been employed by some of Victoria’s finest craftspeople to create these extraordinary decorations. This is a show not to be missed.
