As Thomas Jefferson so eloquently stated “a walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty, and in the point of life.” Paris is universally acknowledged as one of the world’s most beautiful and inspiring cities. This richly illustrated lecture will take you to Paris; a city with a truly colourful history which today offers a legacy of art, architecture and more generally great cultural experiences. Paris is a city to be experienced and savoured.  “Breathe Paris in. It nourishes the soul” so said Victor Hugo.  It remains one of the world’s most desired travel destinations – blessed with stunning streetscapes, hidden arcades, enticing cafes and beautiful public spaces as well celebrated museums, magnificent monuments, trend setting fashion houses and boutiques and much more. Paris truly is a cultural treasure house and this lecture is will provide a perfect way to get a taste of Paris from the comfort of your home.  

KENNETH W PARK has served as Curator of Collections at Wesley College, Melbourne for just on thirty years. This role sees him responsible for the school’s extensive art and archival collections. Kenneth also consults in both the corporate and public sectors in philanthropic fundraising (especially in planned giving) as well as marketing, sponsorship, art, membership / loyalty and public relations.

An avid traveller, tour leader and lecturer, Kenneth works with a range of tourism organisations and travel companies across the globe. He lives by the motto: ‘Life is a grand tour so make the most of it’. His tertiary studies include political science, administration, museum studies, industrial relations, fine arts, history and international relations. Kenneth has a passion for travel, food, wine, arts, architecture, history, and good conversation … essentially the good life!
