Visiting The Johnston Collection is a special and unique experience, however, some special conditions apply:
As The Johnston Collection is located in a residential area, we cannot publish our address.
Visitors arrive via the Pullman Melbourne on the Park — 192 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne — 10 minutes before their booking.
Visitors are welcomed by our friendly Visitor Services staff who meet all visitors at the Pullman for a short — less than five minute — journey to The Johnston Collection in our courtesy bus.
Please note: all visits must be pre-booked.
Visitors can opt to return to the Pullman Melbourne on the Park in our courtesy bus at the conclusion of their visit or depart directly from The Johnston Collection.
Please allow up to 2 hours for exhibition-house tours.
We also encourage all visitors to arrive at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park, 192 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne by public transport.
Wednesday to Sunday | 10AM, 12PM & 2PM
We are closed on public holidays.
ACCESSIBILITY
If you have a mobility, visual or hearing impairment, we are here to help.
Please note there is no lift in Fairhall exhibition-house and access to the second floor requires climbing a fairly steep staircase comprising 21 steps to the first landing and then a further 8 steps to reach the second level.
Wheelchair and walker access is limited to the Ground Floor in the Administration Building and Fairhall exhibition-house. A foldable chair is available Fairhall exhibition-house for visitors on request.

CHILDREN
Children must be aged eight and above. All children must have a confirmed booking and be supervised by an adult at all times.
DRESS CODE
Please wear appropriate and comfortable shoes for the Fairhall exhibition-house tour. All properties have stairs and steps and surfaces are uneven in places.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography with a mobile phone is allowed on all tours for personal use only.
Flash photography, tripods, selfie sticks and video recording are not permitted.
Except on social media, photography may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without permission from The Johnston Collection.
Please contact us if you are interested in arranging professional photo or video shoots.

As always, the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and visitors is our top priority, and we are strictly complying with the Victorian Government public health directions to protect everyone who comes through our doors.
When you visit TJC you are agreeing to abide by our Terms & Conditions of entry and any COVIDSafe guidelines. Please note these conditions may change based on advice from the Victorian Chief Health Officer.
PRIVACY STATEMENT
TJC uses CCTV camera surveillance throughout various areas and images are monitored and recorded for the purpose of crime prevention and public safety. Retention periods can vary due to changes in system requirements, but they are managed at all times in accordance with applicable Commonwealth and Victorian legislation, as well as Australian standards which govern the use, management, and disclosure of data for privacy, public safety and security reasons.
TJC manages your information in accordance with privacy legislation and other applicable laws and will only use the information for the purposes for which it was collected.
