In 1952, after only five years in London, William Johnston had sufficient funds to acquire Fairhall and invest in properties in Melbourne. East Melbourne represented the style of townhouses so fashionable in London, so William Johnston started buying.
Join The Friends for a leisurely walk and talk, and view the neighbourhood in which William Johnston created his "Georgian" townhouse. Discover some secrets, and delight in the histories of celebrities and other prominent properties and personalities, along the way.
There will be a stop for morning tea refreshments at the conclusion of the walk.
