FROM BORGIA TO BOURGEOIS | A workshop and lunch presented by Patricia Begg

Wednesday 5 Jul 2000, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Handmade lace was often viewed as symbolic of the decadence of French Aristocracy. Indeed, for this very reason lacemakers were executed during the French Revolution. Forms its origin as a clergyman’s collar, Patricia Begg OAM will intertwine the threads of time and practice to reveal the fascinating story of handmade lace.
