Evening Soirée | This Creative Life: Fashion Designers at Home with Robyn Lea

Thursday 14 Nov 2024, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Australian photographer, author, and director Robyn Lea commenced her career as a photographer’s assistant in Milan in 1990 and has been working internationally for over thirty years. She has 16 book credits to her name including Dinner with Jackson Pollock: Recipes, Art & Nature; and Dinner with Georgia O’Keeffe: Recipes, Art & Landscape. Her book A Room of her Own: Inside the Homes & Lives of Creative Women appeared on the Amazon UK and US best-seller lists.

Robyn’s photographs have featured in books including Mirka & Georges: A Culinary Affair; Hamptons Private; Venetian Chic; Chateau Life; French Ties; French House Chic; Palm Beach by Aerin Lauder and A House Party in Tuscany (by Amber Guinness), and in leading global magazines including in Vogue (USA, France and Spain), Architectural Digest (USA and Germany), and Elle Décor UK. As an exhibiting photographic artist, she has had more than ten solo exhibitions, including at the prestigious Vittoriano Museum in Rome in 2015.

We are thrilled to again be hosting Robyn for an evening soirée to celebrate the release of her latest book This Creative Life: Fashion Designers at Home. Robyn will discuss her book, which features her interviews and photographs inside the homes of some of the world’s best fashion designers, including the Pucci private palace in Florence, Bella Freud’s warehouse conversion in London, Sophie and Coco Conran’s rural escape, Martin Grant’s Parisian apartment and the eclectic home of Lucinda Chambers, British Vogue’s Fashion Director for 25 years.

NOTE: Tickets for this event do not include access to our exhibition-house, Fairhall. Guided tours of the current exhibition can be booked separately.
