Our Summer | Christmas exhibition continues our collaborations with contemporary makers by inviting, supporting and encouraging them to create ‘new works based on old objects.’

This year, The Johnston Collection has commissioned Melbourne-based artists and collectives to create and contribute to our annual Summer exhibition. Artists include Barbara Porter, Adrien Trevillian, Dear Songsuwan from KAMI, The Bond Family, Les Morgan, The Hotham Street Ladies, Hannah Gartside, Robyn Rich, Anita Mertzlin and The Country Women's Association of Victoria Inc.

This exhibition offers an ‘inspired’ interpretation of the Collection.
