Description

Cath Tate Intellectual Humour cards are witty, wise, ethical, poetical and just plain funny. Based in south London, Cath Tate (and since 2011, her daughter Rosie) has been adding her unique sense of humour to cards and gifts for over 35 years. Together they work with an amazing team of contemporary designers and artists. The mother and daughter team come up with the captions for the cards and always try to see the funny side of everyday life! This card features_ Oscar Wilde (b.1854 – d.1900), Irish poet, wit, aesthete and popular playwright in early 1890’s London. He was jailed from 1895 to 1897 for ‘gross indecency’ with men and died destitute in Paris. From the 1970’s he became an icon for the emerging gay movement_. The card is blank inside so you can write your own message. Being an ethical producer has always been at the core of the Cath Tate Cards ethos and all their cards are printed in the UK on recycled paper, with recycled envelopes. Card is wrapped in biodegradable plastic. Card dimensions are 11.8cm x 17cm
