AN ASTONISHING REVOLUTION - Porcelain 1640-1840 is an exhibition of porcelain from private collectors, illustrating seven great moments in porcelain history.

As well as the visual delights of the exhibition, superb images will take you on a journey of 200 years of ceramics production to discover the people behind the objects and the circumstances that influenced their manufacture.

Robyn Ives, Guest Curator for AN ASTONISHING REVOLUTION - Porcelain 1640-1840, is Ceramics Advisor to The Johnston Collection.  She is a collector and lecturer who explores the social, political, economic and technical influences on the manufacture of porcelain, as well as its aesthetic.
