The 26th Annual General Meeting of The Friends of the Johnston Collection will take place on Wednesday 27 August 2025, and all members, and their friends, are invited to attend.

The afternoon will start with the opportunity to enjoy a private viewing of the first floor of SWAGGER, the current exhibition in Fairhall. Members will then move into the Kent Room, for the 26th Annual General Meeting, followed by a very special guest presentation.

The Friends of the Johnston Collection were first established in 1999 and since then many members and their friends have enjoyed the benefits of being part of The Friends. From the Exclusive Preview Nights of the new exhibitions, educational lectures in the Kent Room and guided tours of Fairhall, The Friends are given the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of their membership. With organised visits to museums, tours of beautiful houses and special gardens, or just a talk by a renowned author, The Friends provide a variety of activities for everyone. The Friends support The Johnston Collection, and their efforts have played a big part in keeping The Johnston Collection such a vibrant part of Melbourne’s cultural scene.

Following the special guest lecture, The Friends will enjoy afternoon tea, with time to browse The Shop and mingle.

All visitors to The Johnston Collection must arrive by the courtesy bus. There will be a 1:50 pm pick-up time from The Pullman Melbourne on the Park on Wellington Street.
