TOUR & TALK | HER PLACE WOMEN'S MUSEUM | UNMASKED: Celebrating Nursing & Midwifery

Tuesday 22 Jun 2021, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

For the first outing for 2021, The Friends will be going to beautiful Clarendon Terrace, now the home of Her Place Women’s Museum Australia, to experience their current exhibition.

Unmasked: Celebrating Nursing & Midwifery, Victoria and Beyond.

Her Place Museum is a not-for-profit organisation that celebrates the social, civic and entrepreneurial achievements of all Australian women and their role in shaping our nation. The vision for Her Place is to create a public space that honours the achievements of women, through exhibitions, public programs, education resources and an archive. Their mission is to honour Australian women and inspire girls, plus to establish a place to feature and celebrate the social, civic and entrepreneurial achievements of women, known and unknown, in their role helping to shape the landscape of our country.

In this current exhibition, celebrating everything about the history of nursing in Australia, visitors will be able to enjoy exploring and learning more about nursing in Australia over the past 230 years.

Come and join with The Friends for a fascinating morning viewing stories of nurses' and midwives' experiences throughout Australia’s history. The morning will conclude with Morning Tea.
