The 18th Annual General Meeting is an opportunity to connect with fellow members, enjoy The Johnston Collection hospitality and listen to a stimulating speaker. The Committee of The Friends invite all members to attend.

Antonia Syme, Director, Australian Tapestry Workshop (ATW) will give an intriguing insight into her work with the various artists who have now produced more than 500 contemporary hand-woven tapestries. 

Established in 1976, the Australian Tapestry Workshop is the only workshop of its kind in Australia, with ATW an international centre of excellence for innovative, contemporary, hand-woven tapestries.

Antonia Syme’s illustrated presentation will include images of hand-woven tapestries created in collaboration with leading artists, architects and designers drawn from across Australia and internationally. The Australian Tapestry Workshop is one of Australia’s leading producers of public art.
