SOCIAL LIFE OF REGENCY ENGLAND

7 Jul 2008 – 27 Oct 2008

The social life of Regency England and the Regency period will be explored through the imaginary diary of a Regency Gentleman.

Against the backdrop of an exhibition of Regency furniture, ceramics and objet d’art, an overhead projection presentation will take you on a visit to the Worcester factory, shopping in Regency London, gambling at The Brookes Club, a trip and down to the Brighton Pavilion as well as other attractions.

Characters that will be encountered along the way will include Jane Austen, Prince Regent, Beau Brummell, Emma Hamilton, Lord Hamilton and Lord Nelson. So, book in for some rollicking good Regency fun.
