SOCIAL LIFE IN REGENCY ENGLAND

7 Jul 2008 – 24 Oct 2008

The Regency period is explored through the imaginary diary of a Regency gentleman.

Against the backdrop of an exhibition of Regency furniture, ceramics and objets d’art, superb images will take you on a visit to the Chamberlain’s Worcester manufactory, shopping in Regency London, gambling at The Brookes Club, a trip to the Brighton Pavilion as well as other attractions.

Characters encountered along the way include Jane Austen, The Prince Regent, Sir William Hamilton and his infamous wife, Emma and her lover Lord Nelson.
