HOUSE OF DREAMS with Barking Spider Visual Theatre

12 Jul 2016 – 20 Sep 2016

HOUSE OF DREAMS is an art-based multi-media installation by Melbourne’s Barking Spider Visual Theatre.

New room themes will be created, inspired by Carl Jung’s dream theories and the history of William Johnston and Fairhall as an exhibition-house itself. As Johnston’s Collection and the exhibition-house are explored, visitors to the HOUSE OF DREAMS will experience the uncanny, mysterious and the hauntingly beautiful.

Penelope Bartlau, and her team from Barking Spider Visual Theatre, respond to the Collection by drawing on their skills and experiences in creating for public museums, for theatre and in site-specific installations.

Established in 2006, Barking Spider Visual Theatre is a Melbourne-based independent multi-art form company who generate and present beautiful and truthful works that challenge habits of perspective and which allow audiences to feel, delight, dream and be inspired.

Penelope Bartlau and her team will be the guest-curators of Fairhall exhibition-house at The Johnston Collection as part of the continuing ‘House of Ideas’ series.
