Since 17 May 2008, six of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s grandchildren have married. The six brides and grooms have worn historical family jewels, and of course Her Majesty too has always worn beautiful pieces to mark the occasions.

This talk, the latest in Adrian’s repertoire, discusses the pieces worn by the younger royals on their wedding days, and those selected by Her Majesty for these family weddings.

Learn about the histories of the six royal tiaras and bandeaux. See close up and revealing images of these jewels in which Adrian discusses the different designs, the stones used and their different forms of setting. The audience will also be privy to a virtually never-before-seen image of a tiara once worn by a “commoner”, yet now owned by Her Majesty the Queen.

This  fully illustrated presentation, tells the stories and history of some truly beautiful royal jewels.

ADRIAN DICKENS trained in the United Kingdom for six years and has been a fixture on the Melbourne and Sydney fine jewellery scene for over 30 years. Adrian’s knowledge of historical and recent jewellery trends are insightful.

He regularly gives talks and presentations nationally and internationally. He has managed some of Australia’s fine jewellery houses and now runs CircaAD Jewels. This is the eleventh talk in the Adrian Dickens series, the most recent being FRUIT ‘n’ VEG: The Jewels of Rachel “Bunny” Mellon in 2019
