The Gardens of Musk Farm with Cathy Wagner

Friday 19 Jul 2024, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Musk Farm is a three-and-a-half-acre country property, 6 kilometres from Daylesford. The house and grounds were the original Musk Primary School, founded in 1872. The school was decommissioned, and the property sold in 1997. The school grounds were transformed into an internationally renowned garden property consisting of fifteen distinct and exquisite garden rooms.

With a history of both tragedy and rebirth, Musk Farm was purchased by Cathy Wagner and her husband Mike in 2017. Join Cathy as she shares some of the daunting and exciting times they've spent living at this magnificent property.

Cathy Wagner and her husband Michael, lived in East Melbourne for 15 years and were self-confessed ‘novice gardeners’ prior to embarking on their Musk Farm adventure. Cathy is a psychologist who started her working life as a nurse at the Royal Children’s Hospital and has lived in London where she worked at the Great Ormond Street Royal Sick Children’s Hospital. She is a cognitive behavioural therapist and holds dual endorsement in both Health and Counselling Psychology. Cathy and Michael’s stewardship of Musk Farm has been featured in publications including Lost Magazine, and the Sydney Morning Herald.
