Oak, Walnut, Mahogany – ever wondered why there have been distinct changes in the use of these woods. Influences include political, religious and economic change. Using slides of examples from The Johnston Collection and other items Ben Hodgetts will bring this subject to life.

Ben’s formal training was at the London College of Furniture graduating in City and Guilds in Cabinet Making and with a Degree in Antique Furniture Conservation.
