PP MFF FASHION CULTURE PROGRAM 2023 | THE LIFE AND WORK OF CARLA ZAMPATTI with Roger Leong

Zampatti Powerhouse (24 November 2022 – 30 June 2023) is a retrospective at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum on fashion designer and Australian icon Carla Zampatti AC (1938–2021).

The exhibition covers Zampatti’s story through interviews with the designer herself, clients, family, friends, employees, and associates alongside 100 of her key designs from the 1960s to 2021.

Curator, Roger Leong provides an overview of the exhibition and shares highlights of Zampatti’s style and stories.

ROGER LEONG is a senior curator at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney. He has curated over 22 exhibitions across art, fashion and the applied arts at Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria and the Powerhouse.
