Shaun Bythell is the owner of Scotland’s largest second hand bookshop. In his diarised expose about bookshops coping with bizarre requests, colourful customers and eccentric assistants he also demonstrates the hazards of running a small business whilst competing with giants such as Amazon.
There is much to entertain, with all types of quaint enquiries, such as, “I was here two years and you had a book by Roger Penrose. Do you know what happened to it?” A Sunday Times best seller, these confessions are informative, witty and revealing.
