BUILDING MELBOURNE | AUSTRALIA MODERN with Hannah Lewi

This lecture will highlight some Melbourne gems of Modernism as depicted in the 2019 book AUSTRALIA MODERN: architecture, landscape and design, edited by Hannah Lewi and Philip Goad. Modern design, in all its forms from the iconic to the everyday, will be vividly discussed, as well as the driving motivations behind this publication.

HANNAH LEWI is a Professor of Architecture in the Melbourne School of Design, the University of Melbourne. She is also the Vice-Chair of Docomomo Australia, and has published widely on Australian 19^th and 20^th century architecture and heritage.
