ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY | 2022 (Member only event)

The Committee of The Friends of The Johnston Collection invite The Friends to return to Astolat, a gracious nineteenth century Italianate residence, enhanced by its exotic and ornamental landscape garden with a wide carriage drive, mature trees and shrubs, plus tennis court and pavilion, for the 2022 Annual Christmas Party. Built in c.1884-1886 for the Derham family, this villa residence and garden form an ensemble typifying an estate of the upper middle classes in Melbourne in the late nineteenth century. There are rich borders of shrubs and perennials flanking generous lawns, while a series of garden rooms tempt visitors to explore the amazing 2 acres of garden. The elegant and beautifully maintained garden surrounding this impressive Victorian mansion has significant historic trees, unusual species, azaleas, rhododendrons and camellias.

This is a very exclusive Member Only event for The Friends, who are privileged to be returning to Astolat; to gather once again for The Friends Annual Christmas Party. There will be a raffle, with very special hors d'oeuvres to enjoy, and this will be an opportunity to reconnect with old friends, and relax with new friends, to celebrate the holiday season.
