2026 Spring Country Garden Tour | Celebrating Harcourt

The 2026 Spring Country Garden Tour will be a self-drive adventure to a beautiful private garden in Harcourt, a small and spirited rural community famed for apples, wine, cider and cycling, 80 minutes north of Melbourne, and 9km northeast of Castlemaine.

Visit a rambling country garden full of character, developed over generations and combining old with new. Owners Lisa and Neil Arrowsmith have added their own special touches, while respecting the history of the site. The garden features orchards of fruit and nut trees, vegetable patches, Mediterranean-inspired succulent gardens and remarkable trees, including an avenue over 100 Chanticleer pears.

The garden has featured in the Castlemaine Garden Festival, Open Garden Scheme, and in a recent issue of Country Style magazine.

Friends will be able to explore the network of gravel paths and enjoy the garden as well as local views and dramatic granite outcrops.

The visit includes lunch in the property’s atmospheric Old Barn - previously used as a stable and apple storage - and time to enjoy a charming local nursery.

With the opportunity to leisurely browse this wonderful garden and appreciate the beauty of Harcourt, with luncheon included, this will be a time to celebrate this special part of Victoria with The Friends.
