THE PLATINUM JUBILEE SERIES | HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II’S PLATINUM JEWELS with Adrian Dickens

Thursday 16 Jun 2022, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Celebrating an historic Platinum Jubilee in the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, this talk concentrates on Her Majesty’s platinum jewel collection.

We will learn about platinum and its fairly recent discovery, and why it has become the “go to” metal for so many beautiful jewels.

We hear about Her Majesty’s platinum jewels including the “Greville Collection” bequeathed to her mother Queen Elizabeth, and why they were not seen or worn for many years.

We see other members of the Royal Family wearing these beautiful personal jewels that are some of the finest examples of early 20th century jewels.

This fully illustrated talk is full of jewels fit for a Platinum Jubilee!
